  hi folks.

  atlantis has very kindly let me see a copy of the aug 21, 2013 letter to all bodies of elders in the united states.. they are being instructed to re-organize the service meeting for the week commencing september 2nd (next week) to include a special recruitment talk to attract skilled volunteer workers for the new warwick hq.. an interesting feature of the letter is its comparison of the project with nehemiah's rebuilding of the walls of jerusalem.

  considering the relocation of hq is financially motivated more than anything, the analogy is more than a little bewildering.. here is a scan of the opening comments of the two-page outline, to be given in the next local needs item.... .

  Nowhere does the letter or outline mention the recent $375 million windfall from the sale of the remaining Brooklyn factory buildings, or the fact that Watchtower is looking to pocket over a llion dollars once the entire Brooklyn portfolio has been sold.

  The Gov Body is looking out for your best interest.

  Theocratic Ministry School Review night?

  how can i tell without even looking at the schedule that it is time for the review?

  my wife decides she is not going to the meeting.

  she told me earlier this week we had an invitation for dinner/drinks with one of our neighbors down the street.

  One over zealous elder in a hall I went to as a teen would tell the audience – when no one was answering – “Do I have to randomly start calling on you brothers and sisters?” He would do it from time to time. Usually it was another elder or MS.

  He was the most arrogant a**hole. We had words in the “back room” several times when I was growing up.

  tonight on the service meeting we discussed why jws are not false prophets.

  of the ten minute part two were spent discussing that jws just had wrong expectations and only very minor changes over the years although nothing specific was mentioned.

  the other eight focused on the core bible truths that have remained the same over the years.

  Yes. In the 7 years I drank from 20 to 27 I can't even begin to count how many times I got black out drunk. I would rarely remember what I said or did from the night before. Mrs. Dazed thought I was just using excuses.

  I never passed out anywhere weird. I would pass out minutes after hitting the pillow. It was one of many reasons I sobered up. I can't stop once I start. I couldn't even be satisfied with a 6 pack alone. It will be 3 years of sobriety for me in December.
